Most of these interviews are translations from Dutch journalists, who like nothing better than a trip south, away from the wet and into the sun. They already have enough trips to Manchester/Liverpool and will now miss out on their regular trips to Milan. The coverage de Jong still gets from Barcelona is beyond ridiculous, so the media would have loved a few more freebies to Madrid, for example, to see Reijnders, hence some of the stupid questions I dare say.

The weather in Milan is as shit as Manchester in winter

Yep, they make out he's signing for a non descript manager who's won fuck all in his career. Disgraceful really, and disrespectful to Pep
That fucking waste of space Jack Grealish really got idiots thinking the great Pep Guardiola ruins talented players. This is the reason I say Jack is the Worst signing Pep ever made. Reijnders will be brilliant under Pep as long as he applies himself well.

But there's a spring, summer, and autumn in Milan, too.

Hot in the summer but not that different from Manchester in other seasons. I was there last May and it was awful. Torrential rain (notorious for rain in spring) the whole time I was there.

In terms of City players of the past, who is he most like? I see Yaya comparisons, and it excites me (not sexually)
There are times when I've watched Reijnders and I've thought he's actually a little like a young Paul Lake. Reijnders is a fraction taller and Lake was a little heavier set, but they both run with that same upright carriage and head up, which means they see things ahead of time and can get the ball away with either foot. They also share that sense of being able to run effortlessly regardless of conditions.

It’s a great shame that many Blues never saw Paul Lake, he was imperious and only getting better, he was brilliant any way.

I remember one game v Everton where he played Centre Defence, he bossed an experienced Graeme Sharp in the game in a position that wasn’t his usual one, Pep would have loved him.
