Time for City to 'grow up' or miss out again....

Even worse... we don't even have a full 25 man squad!

We have about 20 players available within the squad... and that includes Vieira and Jo!

Questions will surely be asked at the end of the season about this error of judgement...

Ah, but we do have Jo, Boateng, Kolarov, Lescott and Kolo.

So shit, they really are unbelievable!

complete overeaction mate
you have let things get to you

And yet it was only about six weeks ago that you were assuring everyone on here that we were on the verge of greatness!

What's happended to change your view so radically?

It's not as if I haven't also changed my mind... but you were sooooo certain...

;-))

It was less than six weeks, probably!

It's clear there has been a mental and physical decline and the football since the derby, is one of regression rather than progression.

The manager's single-mindedness, once I thought a great trait, for me, is currently strangling the life out of us with fear.

I have been made aware of a few things which certainly won't help matters.

But that's a debate for another time.

Thanks for the honesty.
Cheers

Mancini sanctioned the loans of Weiss,Bellamy, nedum, bridge, adebayor,Santa cruz and ibrahim.

He bought a forward in January when that's probably the only area we didn't need strengthening.

He can't now complain of squad depth and fatigue!

The fact Logan and m Johnson were in the 25 was a waste of 2 spaces to start with!

Give me a shirt... im not as good as what we have... but i will play with a smile and give 100% every second im on the pitch... not much to ask for when your on 150.000+ a week isit?

Exactly this is what we are missing , seems our players don't care too much ,they lack fighting spirit and determination to win. after seeing chelsea vs Rags i was wondering what happen to my team y our players lack consistency . roberto should remember that it is no longer acceptable and every1 should perform above his average.

I'm sure Tolmie will tell us when the time is right.

Possibly tomorrow!

I'll make an early guess that Tevez has made it very clear he will leave should Bobby remain.

Really needs a video clip clue.

Come on Tolm. ;-)

We had a couple of good cup wins so fans were upbeat going into a home game against a struggling Fulham, a game that teams with a winning mentality and top four ambition and drive would have brushed aside and got the points, however City yet again as in previous seasons come up with a lethargic, sloppy performance and two vital points are dropped.

I look around at the likes of Spurs, Rags and Chelsea and I see players dying for the shirt, going down to win free kicks and trying anything to win the match and yet I look at City and see a team yet again going through the seasonal motions looking as if they are willing to accept failure again.

Our players have to step up starting tonight, we can't afford replays we need to take control of our home games and win them. I want to see arms up in the air claiming for throw ins and free kicks even when they clearly are not, this is the winning desire we lack and it is up to our players to produce now and show the fans that they want it, if not I'm afraid that we may never see that spark of a winning mentality at our club and another season will pass us by.

Come on City it's time to perform!!
top post mate and sadly true. I loved Zabs o sant when he tried to inject some urgency into the statues around him. Didn't work but atleast he showed passion...Our players simply don't care. I recall that ridiculous attempt at scoring by Kolarov from the angle when he could have played the ball across for a tap in....did he appologise? No. Did the strikers moan at him? No. They all just jogged back. Basically there is not one ounce of fire in most of our players. Sad but true.

oh get a grip.
yes they performed badly against fulham and at other games this season.
But we are 3rd and have a realistic opportunity of reaching a cup final.
We are a work in progress and other games I have seen us play with passion.
Instead of moaning, how about we just get behind the team tonight?

I know on other threads I have been very optomistic (city for the treble etc) but really this has a good chance of being our best season since 1970, but only if the fans get behind the team.

I do get behind the team mate, on match days I never boo, I urge them forward, I will them to win, to show passion to die for the cause. I dream of seeing us lift a trophy and we are close...yet something tells me under Mancini we will fail. I hope I'm wrong, I hope he leads us to glory on all fronts for many years to come...I really do...but instinct and from what i've seen so far tells me othewise...I hope to be proved wrong I really do. I'll be there tonigt and i'll will hem on again, I just hope it's reciprocated, that's all. Not too much to ask is it?

Fuck yeah !

I'd like to echo the comments of the majority of the posters in this thread. I won't accept anything less than a unanimous 110% from each and every individual tonight.

I'll be fucking indignant if I see a performance as limp as Sunday's.

So WE need to be prepared to put pressure on the players to perform at this tempo if the manager is not!

I'm happy for our highly experienced and succesful manager to set the tactics rather than some pissed up FM / CM experts thanks all the same.

1-0 City. Zero tolerance of failure tonight. I have never been less in the mood for losing.
