Time for Soriano to do the right thing.

I have watched press conferences where Soriano has introduced NYCFC and explained the relationship between City and the group's new club, talking directly to New Yorkers and MLS fans.

I have heard Soriano's thoughts on the addition of a Melbourne club to the CFG stable, the message was aimed at Aussie football fans.

I have seen the video of Soriano talking to an audience in the UAE all about City and the world of football finance.

In all honesty he comes across as a clued up guy, a professional administrator and very capable CEO.

But he has never bothered doing any interviews or press conferences for us Manchester City fans.

Soriano has failed to inform US how the plans will develop MANCHESTER City.

We occasionally get chucked a statement, as we have had with the FFP situation.

But let's be honest we are being treated rather shabbily by the Ferran. Are we being either deliberately ignored? Yes, I think we are.

I think its high time Soriano gets in front of the cameras and introduces himself to us, the City fans as he has done for Americans, Aussies and Abu Dhabians.

And maybe he can properly explain some of what has gone on and indeed some of what will be happening too.

Considering the recent statement on FFP included this gem of a line "our decision to do so must be balanced against the practical realities for our fans" I think the club are making quite a few assumptions about us City fans.

One assumption is that we are happy with an occasional, bland club statement.

I for one expect the globe trotting Ferran Soriano to do what many players, and even the kit man have done, and give us an interview and at least introduce himself as he has done all over the world for other.

Hola FBloke,

Thank you very much for reaching out and for your comments. Coming from a city fan, I appreciate them and give them utmost consideration.

I definitely understand your concerns, and I agree that I need to build communication bridges with local city fans. But believe me, since I took the responsibility to manage city I have been very busy and, as you may know, I spent lot of time travelling. Yet, stay assured, that I keep a close eye on the level of satisfaction and joy that we bring to local Manchester city fans before anybody else.

Also, please note that your comments have come at a very good time. There are actually some new projects I have in mind, and I wish to have the opinions and input of the local fans, and therefore I wish to organise a consultative meeting with select city fans to discuss them. And I think there is no better place than this forum to invite fans to sign up to attend this meeting. For those of you who are interested to attend, please express it on this forum, and I will have you, FBloke, to be responsible for meeting arrangements if you wish so.

Gracias for your comments again, and looking forward to growing further the man city franchise and winning more trophies.

Saludos cordiales,
Soriano

So we support a quiet club and thats how most of us like it. I get it, that's great. No it really is.

But then again there are threads on here that suggest that lots and lots of the same people who tell me, in all manner of ways that i'm a needy idiot, want answers from the club.

The FFP threads (and there are many) for example, with the thousands and thousands of posts extrapolating theories from snippets of info and data gleaned from hither and thither suggests that we, the City fan base would like to know what the hell is going on!

But don't worry Ferran you're doing a grand job and we will buy our season tickets based on the info on Bluemoon.

I mean its not as if the club should, perhaps make it very clear that we will have a competitive team in the CL as part of that deal is it?

I dont need my ego stroked but I would like to be given more than an occasional press release on things like FFP.

To be completely honest after years of public bullshit from Swales, broken promises and half truths from Francis Lee and Colin Barlow, then the petty squabbles and problems with Bernstein, Wardle, Keegan etc tokened then with Garry Cooks 'foot in mouth' antics I find the current policy of the club keeping things in-house quite refreshing. I trust the people running our club and have never had any other reason to change this.

You can't give public domain clarity on an issue like FFP, fbloke, for obvious reasons. This is a legal issue with big money and principle at stake. Cards have to remain close to chests.

The message is there loud and clear in the statement from the club if you read it. And that message is that we have accepted a settlement which will not hurt us significantly or stop us, for the greater good, even though we could have played hard ball. The ends will justify the means.

I wouldn't be surprised of more is strategically placed in the next few days if you know where to look. And I mean proper journos, not Custis.

Stop worrying mate.

I don't think he or anything written on Bluemoon could convince me either to renew or not renew..... I'll just do what I always do, because I want to go watch the football and have some beers before and after with my mates.

But if you want more info from the guy, all power to you and I hope you get what you're after.

I'd like a bit of news on the proposed leisure destination and Etihad Campus. ;-)

I'd settle for that ATM.

Personally, I think it's about time Ferran fell on his proverbial sword. The guy is just Khaldoon's puppet and a complete waste of money and resource.

He can take that Txiki fella with him as well.

I'd really appreciate some clarification on whether the champions league squad reduction is just foreigners or whether the hg quota falls too. :)

I'd also like to know how the tie up with Jamie Oliver is going?

Has it been a success or a disappointment?
