So after yesterdays disagreement that has been plastered all over the back pages, surely it's time to ban the media from citys training ground? Every other week there is a story of players falling out, arguments, bust ups et . Why not just ban the media from the training ground?

They can't as the ground is next to a public right of way.

they dont need permission really. its a pubic footpath so the only thing we could do is obstruct their view. but then we wouldnt get training reports.

the media are outside the training ground boundaries...they stand on step ladders on the dirt path at the side of the pitches.....City have put up a mesh screen on the existing fencing to obscure the view....hence the stepladders

it's a public area i'm afraid and nothing we can do bar erecting 20ft high fencing

So long as it's not damaging our results I don't have a problem with the media going over the top.

It might even help the club sneak under the radar a bit as people will be so pre-occupied with waiting for the sky to fall in, that they won't realise we're putting in a legitimate challenge.

As long as the results keep coming, then I think we will be OK. I mean if we are joint top with a squad that's at each other's throats, then where will be when they all start to get on?

The main culprit is the MUEN which is now owned by the rag mirror. Pictures of both incidents were taken by them. Before they were taken over they were more careful not to try and upset the blue fan base as they knew we were their bread and butter. Build a fence and starve them of the publicity and boycott the paper.

No!

These things happen and i want them to be out there and us being slagged off about them. You might think "why you daft sod?" but the reason why is because when we start to really become a good team, playing really good football and actually start winning trophies it will make it all the more sweeter because all along the way the media will have tried their very VERY best to destablise us - but it wont have worked!

Their stories would have to be "dispite all the trouble they've had along the way, Manchester City FC have risen above the kock-backs and become a real top club!"

The bad publicity is damaging the club. I dont think it is necessarily the MEN. If you look at the amount of interest generated by "minor scuffles" any paparazzi photographer can sell his pics for a lot of money. The owners must be displeased with this. Even if we have to erect an independent privacy screen within our boundary imo it should be done as a matter of urgency.
