"Time To Go Mario"

Sorry Skash couldnt really care less about the Ballon d'or comments. More I would like to see a change in attitude. I think Aguero was let down a bit this season. At times he needed a real rest but with Tevez practicing his swing and Balo suspended for a number of games he didnt get the rest he probably deserved. Particularly after the Copa in the summer.

I rate Tevez highly as a player. But similarly if we could a player Mancini thinks has similar levels of ability and comes without the baggage then its a no brainer
This was the Tuttosport comments. Balotelli never said anything like he was the second-best player in the world. I think this is the reason some people treat him so harshly. They think of Mario and his big claims and say he hasn't lived up to them but he never made those claims.

I think Balotelli is the most harshly treated player in terms of bookings and suspensions in the entire league.

Brilliant Skashion loves a good set of stats :-)
I've discussed this one before. I will point out that it's changed now though now and it's now three goals, partnership ten. It's a stat that bothered me, no question. However, it's also worth pointing out most of the games where they played together were in the January to March period when we suffered the majority of our injuries and suspensions and Yaya at ACON.

That is probably where we disagree. I dont think Balotelli is treated harshly I think on many occasions he makes it easy for the referee.

Spurs he could easily have been sent off and remained on the field. The same at Arsenal. On bluemoon even Mancini got slated for not taking him off against Arsenal because it was obvious he was going to get sent off. Speaks volumes when its obvious your striker is going to get sent off.

Even the stupid t shirts he wears. He knows the rules he knows he will get booked. Does it stop him no. He played outstanding at Old Trafford but was on a booking after what 15 mins. It was a foolish and reckless act. Please explain those bookings for me. Was he harshly judged?

Revealed a message on his t shirt twice. The first one he got booked for the second one he didn't pull it over his head so didn't get booked. The publicity 'Why Always Me'' gave City, I wouldn't swap for avoiding a yellow card especially as he didn't get a second yellow in that game so it was well worth it. AJ has done this before, Van Persie, Cahill, Tevez was doing it last season, happens all the time or is it only okay when it's ''Get Well Soon'' messages?

To me he is still young enough to adapt. I would never write off a 22 year old.

He must work hard to improve his decision making and passing. IMHO he has too much talent to just be a poacher type. Look at Drogba and how he can hold the ball up and distribute dangerously even when isolated. Mario has that physique allowing him to contribute that way.

This is in the context of Skash saying he is harshly treated I was pointing out on occasions I think he makes it easy for the referee and highlighting examples. Your right mate he didnt get a sending booking, but the point is its not neccessary to put himself in that situation.

Yes mate other players have done it, other players have made bad tackles that havent been punished. To me that is the most futile of defences. If as Skash says he is harsly punished, why is he making a rod for his own back?

It is time for Mario to really start performing now. Whilst it is clear he did influence games including the key ones, He was at times awful and let Mancini down with his bans.

Post of the night. I don't think there are many out there who question the potential the lad has. It's frightening to think just what he can achieve in the game, considering his still young age. However; he's going to have to grow up and learn to control his hair trigger temperament. He's no use to us sitting up in the stand, doing magic tricks whilst serving his latest ban. Mancini obviously has faith in him. Please Mario; don't let the boss down. Become the player some on here think you can be.

You say he puts himself in situations to get treated the way he is too often but apart from the Kiev and West Brom(where Mulumbu was literally holding on to Balotelli's leg) sendings-off, most of his bookings have been when he's ''tracking back'' or getting ''stuck in''(classic example Arsenal away). Yes, I'm sure a few are for dissent but Yaya is even worse for this and he's one of the senior/important players. Don't even get me started with Shrek on that one. Players mouthing off when they don't agree with a referee is probably the most common ''crime'' players commit in the league which more often than not go unpunished unless you're Balotelli. Personally, i'd prefer it if Mancini gives him strict instructions not to tackle at all as he's poor at them but surely, its commendable that he's putting such effort in, even if it leads to silly bookings?
