time to make this the friendly FA cup

PMSL MCFC Bob going on the Stoke forum saying I'm a City fan.
Own Goal!
He's absolutely right, the only other team who've got a better claim on it in one of three respects (history, fanbase, trophy success) is Lincoln, who were called City before us. The rest of the teams in football we've got all three on, and Lincoln on the other two obviously.

I too spent time in Stoke.

I went to uni there from 99-03, though I spent 01-02 in Germany and France.

I also lived there for three years after graduating, so I got to know a fair few Stokies.

And while I agree there are plenty of knobs, who purport to follow the Potters, there are also many genuine supporters, who have followed the team through thin and thinner; just as we have.

I used to drink in a good old-fashined pub that was full of Stoke fans and we always had a good laugh and plenty of banter about City / Stoke.

Like many of you (I assume), this will be an FA Cup, in which the victor will be winning it for the first time I can remember. The first final I remember is 1970, so this is a final that football will be good for the game, whoever wins, IMHO.

In other words, a team other than Arse, Chavs, red dippers or scum.

So let's make this a final to remember for the supperters. Even the media after the semis were saying this was the right final for the support the two finalists received on 16th / 17th April.

Stayed in the Premier Inn, Harrow for the semi-final until the monday, so was there for the Bolton-Stoke game.

Stoke fans outnumbered Bolton by at least 3 to 1 at the hotel, which had a Beefeater pub attached. From the night of our game, I can only say that the Stoke fans we spoke to, or encountered, were decent, football people, and some had even travelled down with City fans, and were drinking with us to celebrate our win long into the night, top lads!

I know Stoke have a fair few lads who look for trouble, etc, but I just have a feeling this game will not be anywhere near as bad as the semi-final, where The Rags were allowed to take liberties.

BTW, Bolton fans who were in our hotel were ignorant, and total dicks!

I lived there for 3 years and a bigger shit hole you will never find. Did some work for Match of the Day at their ground too vs Hull and their fan's were complete twats. If we lose to these there will be a queue for the ledge of the roof.

There is no genuine need to be insulting and / or detrimental to Stoke or their fans , very few people would have imagined both teams in the final , .
Both clubs have been through the lower league shit storm , both teams are progressing according to their respective owners wishes .
Stoke are not the huge enemy , its not the rags or diapers or tottingham el twitch fc.

Let's be the club that embraces this fantastic occasion , Lets engage in friendly debate and not poisonous words and unnecessary shit stirring .
Ok they stand between us and history but the reverse is for them also .

Lets be the ones with the moral high ground and wipe away peoples perception of City of becoming arrogant .

After all. We are not united fans ... or twats ...

We are City ... let's change the record and do it with dignity

well said

no problem with stokies for this game

lets all show the sad rag wankers how it should be done once again
