Time to shush Stevie?

dont blame ireland for his comments about RM...they are obviously accurate from what various others have said. He was clearly hurt to leave in the interview he gave and he clearly feels he has been pushed out of the club...and im inclined to belive him. Same has happened with bellamy. RM doesnt like them so out they go regardless of whether they are good enough or not (and both are)

Hughes wasn't playing Ireland last season either.

Ireland slagged Hughes off after he was sacked.

Ireland also slagged off Sven after he was sacked.

Now he's slagging off Mancini.

I agree with Ireland, and I don't particularly see what he has said that is so completely wrong.

I'm the first one to get on his back usually aswell, as the strangely absent BillyShears will tell you.

Ireland is acting like that guy who was really into his girlfriend and has just found out that she doesn't want him any more. He's bitter, resentful and angry. I think more than anything that that shows the importance that he placed on City and it's fans. He obviously loved this club and is hurt that it has cast him aside so easily when it got its act together.

Those young guys who go away and shake hands with everyone obviously don't have the deep connection to the club that Ireland did, or were at least mature enough to keep it civil when he left.

sorry, that's just rubbish.

it shows how frustrated he is, and how immaturely he deals with it, nothing more, nothing less.

It's not a matter of liking him or not liking him, it's not a playground.

Mancini is making decisions that he thinks are best for the club. Time will tell whether he is right or wrong.

I actaully think it is the case though moomba...look at all the stories about RM's lack of relationships with some players....4 different players have come out and said the same thing (including tevez) and 5 if you count what Viera supposedly said to Ireland (if true of course)....

His behaviour/man management style is not what is best for the club. Different players require different management styles and a good coach will be able to employ various ones. He comes accross as very stubborn born out by his inability to change tactics even when it was clear that players (including seasoned pro's) didnt agree with the way he was setting up the team and that the tactics didnt work against better teams!

lets see what he does tomorrw vs liverpool...will he still try and play a system that relies on attacking fullbacks despite us not having our two attacking fullbacks available or will he show some flexibility and change.....???

All down to timing.

Based on what Mancini actually saw of Ireland then you cant really blame Mancini for moving Ireland on.

Ireland "picked" the worst possible time for his form to completely nosedive.
If you take the money out of the equation, then Milner for Ireland, in Mancini's eyes makes perfect sense.

Mancini cannot afford for players to come good again, he moved Ireland on after the best part of 9 months working with him so it wasn't really a snap decision.

If his visit to P&W earlier on this year was anything to go by, he can now get on with playing well enough his new club in the hope that his favourite club (the rags) buy him, should they be able to afford him.

Having said that, weren't Arsenal and Liverpool supposed to be interested in and where does he end up? Villa.

Sorry its sunday so, P and W?

And the ones he deems good enough are still here. Kind of proves my point and disproves yours.

It remains to be seem whether his philosophy is good for the club. But let's be honest here, you've barely had a good thing to say about him since the bloke you staunchly defended day in day out was sacked.

Where you are unquestionably barking up the wrong tree is this thing you have about Mancini's tactical flexibility.

We see more tactical nous every 90 minutes from Mancini than we saw in 18 months beforehand, a period where I can't remember one result bring changed due to the tactics if the manager.
