Must be inherent being an Everton keeper and time wasting.
Tim Howard was the biggest culprit going.... doing it from his very fist goal kick onwards and only stopping when Everton went behind at which point he broke the record time for taking a goalkick

I think Schwarzer was the king of time wasters. Last time he was at The Etihad the first minute of the game set the standard. Blatantly running the clock down with 89 mins to go, every goal kick. And the ref was right on top of it doing fuck all!

Pickford was taking 45- 60 seconds for every goal kick. All this gesturing holding the watch up is just for show as its not the referee who decides how much time is to added on anyway. What it does is break up the attacking teams rhythm and gives the negative team a rest

It is the referee who decides how much time to add on.

Incidentally, just seen some stats. for how long the ball has been in play in each Premier League game this season.

Everybody seems to going on about that Leeds, Everton game but that was actually the most ball in play time of any Leeds game this season.

Also out of only six games that have had over an hour of the ball being in play, two of them have been City games. 63.59 V West Ham and 60.49 V Forest.
 
Just reading about our game tonight and it mentioned that the Southampton keeper wasted 13 minutes from 18 goal kicks against Arsenal the other day. Second only to the Brentford keeper in a game earlier in the season.
