Tino Livramento

I doubt this will get done. Walker was worth every penny at the time. He was already the best full-back in the league and arguably in europe. Livramento is neither of the above currently.

You know the transfer window are making people lose their common sense when they are seriously suggesting Djed f*cking Spence, a guy who is not even first choice in the team that finished 17th (!) in the league, as a RB option for a team aiming to be the best in the world. Not to mention that despite him turning 25y this summer he also has zero other seasons as first choice at any level above the championship. Funny

In today’s market prices and with Tino only being 22 then £70m isn’t the worse deal we could do for our number one target? We done Walker 9 years ago for £50m?

Think it's a dead deal

Think give it a few more weeks to see how many non-doemstic players and go for someone like vanderson/singo but if its looking unlikely let's try for Aina, it's not a sexy move but it's a smart one give the squad needs and registration limits

I agree
We will bend over eventually which is fine
Just not a deal that’s gonna be easy
Could see a deal where we pay 90 then they buy Jack for 50 as a PSR dodge

Dead deal?
In a normal season the transfer window isn’t even open yet
There is only incentive at the moment for clubs in the club World Cup or desperate for cash

He is kind of essential to get. Not just because he’s a right back , but because he’s homegrown we need homegrown players.

especially if Grealish is going. Otherwise next summer would have to be a full homegrown window.

Could also get 10 years out of him? If he’s a number one target and we’ve saved money from not signing Wirtz then pay the £70m and get him in !

One positive is that all the rumours about Newcastle not selling gear towards an asking price being high…not that he’s not for sale.

And they apparently want us to do them a favour and give them Grealish on loan while covering a lot of his wages.

Wiggle room…

I’d say it’s a somewhat positive statement.

If we win the CWC that’s a lot of money coming in as well.

Why would Newcastle do that? They would weaken themselves massively
Well they would not be weakened in my opinion, they end up with say £80 cash they get Grealish for Gordon, Walker as right back for a two year deal and land an up and coming midfielder,
Walker ain't finished, and Grealish needs a new mission.
All winners with champs league experience!

Or we have a smaller squad and make more use of the youth players for rest and rotation.
This is the way to go. We have never had the full 8 homegrown, usually no more than 6 sometimes only 5 with Foden the only club trained, and one of which was Carson. No reason in the future we can’t get to 4 club trained or more in the next season or so ,Foden, Bobb, O’Reilly, maybe Lewis maybe others and just 2 association trained if needs be.
