Tino Livramento

Come on now let's not get silly, we're not frivolous or frittering Monopoly money around.
Apparently we have like 200M to spend before outgoings come into play and Rieijnders, Cherki, Ait Nouri wouldn't even take up all of that initial amount. If we can get Newcastle to bite on a Grealish/McAtee plus cash deal for Livramento, then even better. If we don't end up getting as much from players sold, then we'll just walk away from MGW since Livramento is much more important.

I hope we sign him as he's a really good player who will enhance our team but I can't see Newcastle being interested in selling as Livranento is happy and under contract till 2028 ane the club are happy with him.

However, money talks and players walk, so you never know. Not sure we'll be able to afford 80m after signing our other targets.

Newcastle aren't gonna be a selling club for much longer if we win our FFP case.

We hate it when Real Madrid or Barcelona come sniffing round our players so if Newcastle say they're not interested in selling we should be respectful and walk away unless Livranento is hankering for a move this summer, which he isn't right now. But things could change....

Waffle contradictions

Swaps are rare. Forget it.

Don’t think Newcastle will sell whatever we offer, unless the player forces it. Not knowing the player I have no idea whether he would or not, wouldn’t count on it though.

They aren’t
They just now get structured as two separate deals for ffp/psr
Remember when we ‘swapped’ two youth prospects with Juve iirc and both were dubiously overvalued?
More recently Tommy Doyle to Wolves as part of the Nunes deal, ridiculously low fee of £5m but a 50% sell on
Wonder now if Wolves might buy that out as part of the Ait-Nouri deal. They’d get more than that if they sell him

If this doesn’t happen, and we still want a home grown right back, the alternatives seem to be zero?
Lamptey, Walker-Peters aren’t good enough
Can’t think of a decent association trained RB in the league who’d be worth signing aside from maybe Hinshelwood at Brighton. And he’s a converted midfielder

Ola Aina from Forest is out of contact I think?

Either that or they have the option to extend by another 12 months.

Very good player in my opinion, He has bags of pace too something in which we are lacking and would suit are game as we press high.

We really miss the old Walker for his recovery runs, Maybe something Aina could offer us.

Best RB in the league this season and by a long way
But we need a HG player I suspect

Since Forest avoided relegation it activated a one year extension to his contract

Aina has the same situation as Ait Nouri in that he was supposed to be out of contract this summer, but Forest have an option to extend him for an additional season which they already have done or are probably going to do.

Tough situation with Aina and Ait Nouri going to AFCON so I'd rather see us just pay the money or work something out with Newcastle using Grealish or McAtee for Livramento.

Yeah and if you add Marmoush, we’re not walking into a situation of three key players missing for a month. Aina’s time passed last summer imo
