Well we can certainly put the idea of 80m to bed as it will be a year later and he will be coming back from a serious injury. They will be lucky to get 30-40m

Totally agree.
All transfers come with a risk.

If we can get him across the line for 32-35M range with addons to 40M, then this could be the steal of the decade for us.
An English fullback that can play either side for the next half decade at a high level, you have to take that risk if you're the city board.
It is one of the toughest positions in world football to find quality players at.

Injuries are a total risk, but he played 37 league games for them just last year.

Plus he would never come out and say it, but have to imagine it is possible him and his representatives are slow playing his return this year, because they know the biggest contract of his life awaits him this summer.
Cannot risk him tearing the hamstring completely, or a weak hamstring leading to some more serious injury to his knee again.
 
Konrad Laimer is in top form, and his contract at Bayern is expiring in one year. The price won’t be expensive. He can also play at right back and in midfield which fits exactly what Pep needs.
 
Just not convinced by him. Obviously a fantastic footballer but would cost an absolute fortune and makes Jonny Boulders look like the epitome of peak fitness.

If he doesn’t cost a fortune then he’s 100% worth the risk. And maybe he wouldn’t be as expensive given his record and being another year closer to the end of his contract.

And maybe he’d ask to leave…
 
He isn't good enough to mitigate the obvious problem of his injury record. Last thing we need is more players with major injury problems. Would be a big, big mistake imo.

Laimer is a really really good rb, very smart and is a workhorse., he is also only 28 yo. We could rotate him and nunes well. The only issue with laimer is lack of pace although it hasn't really been an issue in the german league

That was last summer when many here were desperate. Hopefully we are past that irrational desperation and he is correctly rated.

Tops 45 million.... He is a young guy with potential but with a long injury history. Extremely high risk

Anything over 45 is excessive
 
Tonight according to Gossip on the BBC Football site City are closing in on TL( Football Insider). Hopefully with his injury history a load of bollocks
