Just how many centre midfield players do we need ?

We already have 5 of them that would get in most sides in the league first choice and only 2 positions available

Yet not one who can run a game from a deep position while also being able to break up play like De Jong can. That's why we want De Rossi, he is an all-round midfielder who can do everything. Tiote wouldn't be an answer to that either.

For the ACON qualifiers this year it is Senegal V Ivory Coast so we will loose either Cheik or the 2 Demba's (but thankfully not both)

Think sadly might be some mileage in this I have heard this Anita lad we have signed as Tiote Light so maybe a replacement.

Cant see us spending 6 million on someone and not playing him so wouldnt be a massive surprise if Cheik left.

Hope not though

As many pointed out it wouldn't make any sense to sign another player who will be going to AFCON. The whole idea with getting another center midfielder must be so the team won't be in the same position as it was last year. Losing both points and cups because no one can replace Yaya. During AFCON 2013 we have hevy weighters Arsenal and Liverpool + cup games to face (assuming that Ivory coast qualifies).

Cabaye surely must make more sense than Tiote.

While I do like Tiote I think Cabaye is really the better of the two and I reckon would be a great addition to our team, although we already have enough depth and quality CMs to make most teams blush.
 
A few proper Journo's tweeting that we have moved for Tiote. actual journo's not attention freaks.

Not 100% sure about him TBH, plus he would be missing for a month in the african cup of nations

He isn't gash, bit headless chicken and frimpong esq but not gash, don't see a point in him being at MCFC unless de Jong is gone. Would much prefer Cabaye.

If NDJ is moving on before the window shuts then that leaves a gap hence why we was looking at DDR....

IMO he has much more to his game than De Jong so if he came in for not a ridiculous fee and lower wages then it would be a good piece of business he is a beast.
