.......if this takes it course we will end up like the SPL ,2 teams.........
only a titbit but i think its fucking great.
Actually, I think it's pretty fucking depressing.

That was sensative information that was gonna stop Utd bidding? I heard that Roman call story 2 weeks ago on the net somewhere.

You mean on players like Berbatov? Come on mate we all know players dictate moves where they wanna go, look at Ronnie D as well, we offered more there. I think either you had something more or were winding us up a bit.

Look at title of thread. I still think it's great news.
I am going to enjoy January more than ever .

If you had just posted it maybe, but the wait I'll tell you tomorrow stuff is what was a bit suss.

What a damp squib, after all that.

I read about the Roman call in the Indy or another broadsheet two weeks ago (on the lines of Roman saying: "Is this a serious bid?". Admittedly the report didn't mention the threat of a bidding war, but that's obvious anyway.

That's a bit of a lame titbit but then he didn't say it was anything earth shattering. I don't think January is anymore or less exciting as a result. The conclusions that have been made by De Niro following a third hand relaying of a half heard/rumoured conversation as to what might happen in January are wild in the extreme.

He believes it will result in a huge bidding war that will cut out United. To a certain extent City have already triggered that so its not news (although remember it is us that are trying to build a squad, United already have theirs and only sign around one player a season or so). Also if that were true to a bigger extent then Chelsea would not have backed off bidding for Robinho. Chelsea arent stupid. Roman is a very very rich guy but if he goes up against Abu Dhabi he wont be rich for long.

Just shows you how people can be whipped up into a frenzy by speculation. Good fun but ultimately a let down.

it was fun you're right. Killed a few hours leading up to the game though. :)
Didn't expect everone to go mental mind. Enjoyed all the mad pm's.
Now this boj lark.....
