Title Race 2020/21

I think If we win our next 7 games, the league title is in the bag.

Brighton @ Home (17th), Palace @ Home (14th), Villa @ Home, West Brom (19th), Sheffield United @ Home (20th), Burnley (16th) and Liverpool.
 
Can't decide what result from the Liverpool United game would suit us best.

Usually I would say a draw is the obvious answer but I still think Liverpool will be our main title rivals despite their erratic form and a loss could really help to dent their confidence. On the other hand, we've seen before how a win against a big team can really inspire belief and the last thing we want is United going on a long winning run.
 
I thought that Liverpool would win the league by a clear 12 points this season but, unlike City, when we’ve done without Kompany Agüero deBruyne and Silva for long stretches of title winning seasons, Liverpool aren’t maintaining their quality without some of their top names.

So we’re in a title race I never thought we’d be anywhere near.

Covid could have a huge impact on the season still, but I’m excited about the coming month to see where we are!

Probably true, that would put us on 50 points with 16 games to go.

The way this season is going 10 wins from those 16 should be a title winning points tally.

Thats a nice run of games you have. Obviously football isn't played on paper but 17 points at least from those 7 games would be great.
 
I’m a lot more optimistic after our last two displays. We haven’t played that football for ages. Much slicker passing and playing with a purpose.

Fuck knows how COVID is going to affect the season but we’re in a great position.

I’d say a united win would really knock the dippers belief and probably see them off.
They are already seeing their arses every week about 2/3 injuries
But a draw would be better for us as we could then essentially go top (depending on number of games etc)
Expect the league to be voided at this point!
We need to keep up our form for next 6/7 games. If we do this we could open up a lead at anfield
Lots of hoping here though

The season will be scrapped if we even look like we might start running away with it
