Title Race 2020/21

Remember when we drew to West Brom and it was confirmation that we were shit and would never catch Liverpool?

There were hundreds of pages dedicated to how Liverpool would never be so wasteful infront of goal and fail to finish a game off.

Funny how things change in 2 weeks isn't it?

Think we got to look at the tough games away from home like we did before the 100 points that a draw at say a very good Everton team is a good point.
A draw wouldn't be the worst result but as we're still yet to beat one of the top sides this season, it'd be good to put a marker down and let Liverpool know we are right on their coattails.

The league is there for anyone who wants it this year.

With increased injuries, positive covid tests, no pre-season and no fans, we’re seeing more and more results that are unexpected. West Brom getting a point at the Etihad and Anfield being your prime example. Both teams will have seen that as a gimme.

If we can put a run together of 10 wins I’m confident we’ll be top and have a 6/7 point advantage over 2nd.

similarly that also applies to Liverpool and even united.

every game feels must win at the moment to claw points back but being 6 points off the top with a game in hand after the abysmal start we’ve had speaks volumes for the league this year.

After that we will play Chelsea, and we'll keep thinking the same. At some point we have to start winning against our rivals or we'll constantly be in and around Top 6 instead of challenging for the title. United and Liverpool are ahead of us because we didn't push for a win.

We always push for a win our stars show it! It’s our finishing that’s been letting us down.

That was immediately after they dropped points to Fulham too if I recall correctly. People literally ignored that fact.

Another element is I actually think we're starting to get back to City of old. Not so much in terms of firepower but definitely in terms of control. I don't remember the last time a team had City on the ropes. Not even the wonderful and phenomenal United could do it.

Liverpool still have so many strengths that can't be ignored but sometimes they spend large portions of matches looking shaky. I wonder if the injury issues are catching up?

1 game at a time, starting with a controlled 3 points tomorrow.
Richarlison will be a massive loss for them, they never look the same when he out
