I am 18in a month and am a massive city fan, I check both this site and the main site every day sevral times. I have a CityCard and try to get to as many games as I can. But this post isn't about just me, it's about every city fan, and it's directed at all the ones going to the home leg next week.

I have been to many games in my life so far, and I always see on tv the fan from other countrys having a party in the grounds, they sing at the top of the voices. Chant and dance from kick off till the final whistle. Tops of just going carzy. When there winning and when there loosing! You know what kind I mean. The whole groung at full voice for 90mins. I have never seen that in the uk.

I think we need to make the change... Not me because I'm young but there are many of us (city fans) that have been threw the lot, up and down divisions, many manegers and many players in our shirt. We moan like hell but we sick with the blues, why? coz were real fans! And many are thinking " it's about time they pay us back" well let's show them how much we want it, lets show we love our club, lets not only sing when somthing goid happens or when the play speeds up. let's make the croud the best the uk has ever seen! Singing for 90Mins at full voice. Let's be the 12 man! Let's be the mad fans u seen in other countys! Let's proove were city, real city!

And if we get to the semies, you can think I helped win that game, and know we have found the missing key at city. And if we don't get in, you can think we tryed we all put 200% in. And walk away a proud, real fan knowing you not just here to see us lift cups, show your a
true blue! The cups will come as a bonus.

City till I die, no matter what!
Let's get behind the lads on Thursday!

For a 17 year old that post is superb!
Totally agree with you! The atmospheres in English footy grounds is extremely poor! And City are not a good bunch out of a bad lot, we're as quiet as any other ground in the country!

We can change this - we've done it before! My Dad used to go to Old Trafford one week and Maine Road the next as a kid and he became a City fan because he said there was something a bit more special about the atmosphere at City that at United! So it can be done!

Liverpool in top European games at Anfield show that the fans who go to footy games in England arent all boring, middle class, too-good-to-sing people! What do they do? they sing their hearts out for 90 minutes and take a team with only 2 good players to Champs Lg semi's and finals every year!

Have you also noticed that on these big nights at Anfield that them Scousers never sing songs about Everton or United, ever! They just sing about their team! And next week i hop i dont get in the mood to have a bit of a sing song and have "if you hate Man United clap your hands" or "who the fuck are Man United" sung 3 times a half!
Lets sing about the club we support, the club we love: Manchester City FC!!!!!!!!

And totaly argree with you about the singing songs about the club!
WE LOVE YOU CITY WE DO

The result could work out for us over the two legs

We know that we have to go all out attack now, and we know that when we attack teams at home we are VERY good. We have won our last 7 homes games (hopefully 8 by the time we play Hamburg)

I saw enough in the first half to know that we can cause them lots of problems going forward. They caused us all sorts of problems from corners and set pieces, but they aren't going to have anywhere near as many opportunities at COMS

The ground will be rocking and hopefully he boys can do it

COME ON CITY!!!!!!!

I honestly think this tie hangs in the balance. We are a class act at home, and we've looked like we are really gonna turn over a team this season at our place. Hamburg will turn up and put men behind the ball and try to catch us on the break. Imagine if we get an early goal like we did last night. Our tails will be up, the fans will be fully behind the team and that will give our boys a lift.

Yep, Hamburg looked classy last night but i still noticed a few chinks in their defence. Their CB's aren't the fastest and were ball watching on occasions. There LB Jansen looks quality coming forward but doesn't look to comfartable in defence. Mark Trichowski out of the game and they have no supply line.

Its half time, we've got an away goal and we only need to win by a score of 2-0 and we're through. Remember, we're City, we can do anything, especially surprises. Dont forget Gillingham in 99, or Spurs at White Hart Lane in 2004. We do shocks and surprises. Why cant we do another? There is no reason, we can do it again!

Get behind our lads!

we can still do it. what we got to do first though is get behind the lads. we can be the 12th man
lets go and enjoy the night

SING YOUR HEARTS OUT SING YOURS HEARTS OUT SING YOUR HEARTS OUT FOR THE LADS

At the OP: I 100% agree. I'm 17 myself, and this year is my tenth as a proper City fan. I think this is our best chance of major silverware in my time as a fan, and we've got to do our utmost to spur the team on. We have a vital part to play on Thursday, there may be those among us who moan 24/7 but you have to get behind the team. We are coming at the end of May.

I am also in the North and I will be off my fucking trolly for 90 minutes, look at how Stoke fans have been the 12th man all year, fair play to them, they make it difficult for the opposition and lift their own team for every home game, Im 40 and I agree with the lad who said ths is our best chance for 33 years to win something, How much do we want it !!! look at the derby, every time they touch the ball we should be howling like fucking idiots lets make their visit a nightmare, we can really make the difference, we will win 2 nil, and we NEED to contribute for 90 minutes.
