To go to vegas or not?need some advice?!

vegas is amazing but i wouldnt go in them circumstances

no point in asking about spends all depends what u want to do
2k is easily enough if u dont gamble much

food and drink prices are similar to here so u can have a mc'ds for £4 or top of the range meal for £300.

I took 3k for 2 weeks and I gamble a lot i broke even gambling so came home with well over a grand but i didnt do any tours just a few shows and paid for a room upgrade

i think the bit about not going due to it being all girls is a bit ott,they're sound girls and its not as if im tied down to them,im not even staying in the same hotel..

and from what iv read vegas is what you make of it,iv read of lots of ppl who regularly go on their own just for the plain reason they have certain things they wanna do while there and dont need/want others interfering and they've said its 100 times better going on ur own then a big group.each to their own.

ur right tho in a way,ideally,it would be me and my mates going over together,but they're either working or cant go and have been b4 so it might be my last chance for a while at least to go. id rather go with my gf to vegas where i can get sex instead of going with all my mates and having to keep it tucked between my legs (:

oh and also,its either go to vegas for a week with them or stay a home for the whole summer twiddling my thumbs,dont know why i even had to ask fir recommendations (:

as i said the girls are really cool and they said they're going out every night and tbh theyl probably drink me under the table!!

qill do that,due to flights etc im actually gonna be there a half day b4 the grils land and a full day after they leave so il have plenty of time to do stuff if i miss out while they are there

ok heres the deal

my girlfriend has gone away for 3 months to america working etc,she says she having a shit time and would love for me to visit her blah blah blah

her and her friends are going to Vegas in the middle of August for 7days.

now im just finished college like a month ago and am starting to look for jobs but the jobs industry here (ireland, is on its knees), iv got a good bit in savings and i cant see myself being employed by the time vegas would come around,if i did get employed somewhere that would be even better.

total cost of trip with flights and accom is about 1k.

by the time vegas comes around il have 3k to my name,maybe bit more,maybe bit less,take the 1k out and that 2k for vegas, which is about 2500 dollars which is a lot i think for 7days for a 23 year old

the only thing is shes coming home back to ireland like 2 weeks after vegas?!i havent had a summer holiday in two years as im a bit of a homebird, but vegas is one of my dream places to go.

so basically im asking do you guys think it makes sense to go financially,timing wise and any other factors being taken into account?! or should i just say fuck it im going

Hi mate, I did Vegas last month for 7 nights and straight off I can tell you its far too long. Id say 5 days max is what you need.
Now not to worry you but if it was my other half saying "it's shit" etc and heading to Las Vegas I'd be on it like a shot. Vegas is a party City and plenty of pool parties etc with blokes built like tanks and woman in next to nothing.
with regards to money, I spent over £2k during the week but did buy a shit load of clothing and we did the Grand Canyon plus shows so... But you could easily spend that amount just going out, its not as cheap as people think.
As for your £2k, once converted you'll get $3100 so more than you thought.
The first 2 days I hated Vegas, its like Blackpool on steroids and a bit overwhelming to say the least. The hotels are fantastic but once you have been in one you can pretty much expect the rest to look and feel the same. To bet at the casino is'nt as cheap as people think either! You'll get cheaper tables in the UK. I play poker and the only games we could find were comps but thats a whole day gone or cash games with a minimum buy in of $100.
Im my opinion I'd go but it would also depend on what hotel youre staying at too, the strip is 5 miles long and unless youre gonna get the bus every day up and down the strip ($7 for 24 hours so cheap enough) you wanna be central. I'd look at (cheaper options) Ceasers, Treasure Island (more expensive) Venietian, Ballagio, Paris, Mirage. these are all close to one another but still expect a 20min walk to just get past one hotel to the other.

or get the mono rail which from memory is pretty cheap
