Any tips would be welcome! My dad was an expert at preparing proper peas as you describe. It was a regular thing in my childhood. He still makes them now and sometimes I am treated to them if I visit at the right time. Delicious.
Peas prepared as described by fulabeer are not disgusting. They are delicious. Are you thinking of marrowfat teas from a tin? There is no comparison.
Why? is anything bothering you that you want to share! :)Have we morphed into mumsnet?
I plead the fifth! Why? is anything bothering you that you want to share! :)
You mean you have five things to share? Oh I can't wait. :-)I plead the fifth!
I used to love sitting chatting to my kids and ‘shelling’ peas when I was younger. Mind you we did end up sometimes eating more of them than we put in the pan to cook! Nothing nicer than peas straight from the pod.
