Personally I don't think we should of given in if it really is 200,000 a week. That'll be the standard for all contracts from now on, and all our players will expect ballpark amounts. They're are betting defensive midfielders for that kind of money.

Have we actually had a quote form an Official City spokeseprson stating that we have agreed to pay Toure £200K a week, from what I can see this is media stirring yet again.

But realistically he will be earning that much- at very least he will want to earn after tax what he earned in La Liga - tax in La Liga is about 25% ish tax here in the UK is 50% - so to maintain his net salary that he earns in La Liga his gross salary will have to increase.
