To those Leaving Early

or as just mentioned; the ones who turn up late and then try and find their seats
I was late once and I got stared at. Sorry, but the plane didn't arrive earlier, I don't live around the corner...

The bloke in front of me left after 25 minutes! Muttered something along the lines of 'fuck this, I'm going home' and then upped and left.

well this put me leaving to go home at 91 minutes to get to work for 1 am after a 2 hr 20min drive home into perspective

Sad as fuck leaving early, wouldn't leave the cinema early would you? Shit fans end of.

then again i wouldn't go to the cinema of an evening and would choose one a little closer to home....saying that if you can find me a cinema that seats 47,000 and all the trraffic involved, i'll be there

In fairness as I mentioned earlier me and my mate left at the final whistle as we always do. However we don't drive, we phoned a taxi and got told it wouldn't be for an hour so decided to get the bus which took almost an hour to get in to town so we could get (just barely) the last bus home. We didn't get back in until quarter to 11 and we only live in Burnage.

For night games, especially this late it's a pain in the arse if you don't drive, so I for one will be glad to see the metro up and running. But when there are games during the day and you see people leaving 5-10 mins earlier it is quite disappointing. People have legitimate reasons though so it's not fair to brand everyone.

I suppose at the end of the day anyone who leaves early have in themselves a really good reason for doing so, I think the problem is that a lot of passion has gone out of the game for some fans. I for one live and breathe City and I plan my weekends/nights on the next game I'm attending and god forbid I miss even a second of the game. I can understand leaving early if you may miss your last plane/train home. But if it means you are just saving an hour to get home then fair enough but haven't you waited all week/fortnight to see your beloved City so what does it matter if you get home one hour later. I suppose the question is what's more important in your life, City or something else? Rather than I'm a better supporter than you?

Only ever left a game early once ....... back in October 1995 ................. We played Liverpool away at Anfield on the Wednesday and away again the Saturday of the same week ...... The Wednesday was the League Cup and they hammered us 4:0 but I stayed till the end of that game ................ on the Saturday we played them in the League and they went 4:0 up again so I had had enough ...... so we fucked off to The Arkles and the guy behind the bar shouted "its 5 now"...... we told him where to go ................then he shouts "6 now" ......... best thing I did was to leave early on that occasion and I still don't regret it to this day.

I live over 200 miles away and have to take a days leave to get to midweek fixtures, left straight after Aguero's second goal and got back at 2am, it would have been about 40 minutes later if I had stayed in my seat till the final whistle which with work I cannot really do.
On the other hand when I do travel this distance to make sure I get there in time I arrive at least an hour early and watch the warm ups etc.
