cannot excuse balo for his red card. it was as if he though the world was against him.

anyways christ on a bike west brom were a dirty bastarding side today. the NFL type shoulder in yaya at the end summed it up.
really one red card for them was a conservative card count.

Muamba should have been red carded in the Ballotelli incident, for first committing a foul on Mario then trying to start a fight.

Personally I though Ballotelli should only have been booked, I've shit harder than that kick.

I heard a West Brom fan on radio critising us for being dirty, pot and kettle sprang to mind.

You don't usually moan about a referee after you have won but todays excuse for the man in the middle was dire. He booked NDJ early on for deliberate handball in the centre of the pitch with no real danger, he then booked Barry for a nothing foul but when WBA committed fouls of a similar nature or worse, he either failed to blow for a foul or did not book them. There was simply no consistency and he then started to lose the game, slowly it got worse as they went unpunished. Their bloke was sent off for 2 yellow cards and yet he took Tevez out from behind therefore should have been straight red.

Think I heard the same guy. What a tosspot. Was he the one who also said about our players play acting. Can't argue about Balotelli doing a bit of that but what about Mulumbu rolling around holding his face to get Balotelli sent off. Biggest joke was when he said Mancini was giving his players the thumbs up for play acting.

I thought the guy that got sent off for them should've got a straight red card instead of a second yellow, given that he went straight through Tevez from behind. Is this not a red card any more?

The tackle by Mulumba on Tevez was a atraight red. It was very similar to Gonzalo Jaras against Blackpool last week. Straight in from behind both feet off the ground.

As for Balotelli it's no surprise he was on a yellow and his second challenge, whilst IMO warranted a booking was most certainly not a straight red. We may by some quirk of fate benefit by being able to appeal the straight red - we couldn't do that (appeal) with two yellows.

What price he gets off the straight red but is told he would have been booked so therefore the second yellow would have led to a red ergo he still misses Wednesday night.

Mr Gill will ensure that will be the case.

Good post. I thought Muamba should have got a straight red, that tackle was poor. If it was NDJ, MOTD2 would have slaughtered him.

About the only decision I agreed with was that handball. Bang to rights, deliberate, like a goalie in the middle of the pitch. Airhead Nige!
Also felt Yaya was seeing the game out after being body-checked, which may be what the Baggie was dribbling about on the radio. Expected a dislocated shoulder at least, but well done fella, as the final whistle blew just after he got up. Bout time we had a bit more 'professionalism' about the place!
