Despite an overwhelming and heartbreaking body of evidence to the contrary, too many people in the US still seem to think that drag queens reading a story poses a bigger existential threat to their children than the widespread availability of semi automatic firearms. Until that changes this will keep happening. The grip that these far right/libertarian/evangelical Christian nutters have on that country is terrifying.

Generally speaking I'm not a fan of reactive changes in legislation, but I'm so relieved that we further tightened gun laws over here post Dunblane.
