Today's shooting in America thread

And now this....

Fuck me, they'll never be an end to it will there. Feel for both kids in this case, absolutely tragic.
"This is all new ground for us, we've never dealt with a kid shooting a kid at age nine," Sheriff Cantrell told local press.
Not sure why the sheriff is surprised. If there's 300,000,000 guns in private hands in the USA with no proper rules about who can buy them and how they are stored it's actually surprising that stuff like this doesn't happen more often.

The solution is that the sister should have had a semi automatic assault rifle on her lap. The nine year old would never have risked shooting her then.

Back of the head though, she didn't even know it was coming, that's a blessing I suppose.

Watch most American films, or TV series, and guns are everywhere. They love the sound of them, you can watch programmes and even when they've been shooting, the very next shot you'll hear the gun being cocked again. They love it - or the people making the shows think their target population love it.

My missus is watching some utter shite called SWAT right now, and my life it's God awful. There's a female boss, and when she's walking around the streets just speaking to someone she has a holstered gun on show, her jacket is pulled behind the gun. Now, and I'm hoping one of our American posters will verify this, I'm guessing that law enforcement officers in the US, when in a nice suit and just speaking to a colleague in the street, don't have a handgun on show! It just appears there's a fascination with guns.

Just can't see it stopping any time soon. O Dr the years there have been horrendous shootings (yes, before Trump) and still it goes on.

All because the students and teachers aren’t armed. It’s to late for them. Nothing is going to happen. God bless America.
