Hardly any ‘out of competition’ testing around the world in the last 18 months also takes the edge of it even further for me.
There will no doubt be even more ‘out of this world’ performances than normal.

- Sineod McIntosh finishes 12th out of 50 in the Women's 10m air rifle, only top 8 make the final. Only 0.095 between her average and 1st's, ridiculously close. She choked the last shot which could have qualified her, she averaged 10.45 and shot 9.3 on her last shot, 10.6 would have put her through.

- Setback in the rowing as favourites Helen Glover and Polly Swann now have to row in the repecharge to progress.

- Upset in the mixed team archery, Team GB beats China to make to the quarter final, BBC yet to show a minute of it. Shown plenty of Denmark-Japan mixed double badminton though...

Probably, cycling gets big numbers in the UK and there's a chance of a medal, plus a crowd and the iconic Mount Fuji. Not great for the other sports though, as they are only using BBC 1 and the red button.

I'll probably get discovery+ for the month to get a wider range.
