Our one and only Athletics medal from that young lass from Wigan has cost us £23 million so far.

I just wish it was a separate event. It’s stupid to have a bunch of people who aren’t speed climbers representing the sport on the highest level.speed climbing..... its mad !!!!!
It's very addictive, especially when they slip at the last minute and have a tantrum dangling in mid air! Shouldn't laugh.speed climbing..... its mad !!!!!
I thing GB rowing will be shirting itself about an incoming review of the 28m they get.Sports that get substantial funding such as Rowing and Athletics have been dog turd. Reduce their hand outs and give it to the Cinderella sports.
Looks like the BBC is making up for like of action coverage by spending hours interviewing the mother, father, sister, brother, pet hamster and any one the athlete ever sat next to on a bus.BBC only have small rights coverage of events granted to them by Discovery who bought the whole lot and are giving bare minimum to satisfy the legal requirements to have the Olympics in free to air in the UK.
Gives them something to talk about when they know fuck all about the sport. Although if you think that’s bad, I’m watching the international feed and for the climbing they don’t even have a co-commentator who knows the sport.Looks like the BBC is making up for like of action coverage by spending hours interviewing the mother, father, sister, brother, pet hamster and any one the athlete ever sat next to on a bus.
Also commentators have gone into "Football Stats Mode", the first medal since... the youngest since... the oldest since... the most won since.... the best since...
And one a final note that annoys me is when the commentator says "Makes history as the youngest... NO, sets a new lowest record. Somebody was the youngest before them, so did they make history, does every one make history?
Shame shes probably never spent a day in britain in her life.13 is the new 17 it seems.
They mentioned a stat earlier. If you add the ages of all six medalists in the women’s skateboarding, you get 86.13 is the new 17 it seems.
