The Burj was in its first stage of construction when I visited in 2006, for those that don’t know it was my prize in a Charity Golf Event for a hole in one at Ashton under Lyne GC, think
I've mentioned it to @blue b4 the moon once!

I have fond memories of getting a hole in one at Ashton golf club back in the 70s. I never played golf there though.

Think it’s probably the tallest free standing tower without occupants. Just guessing.

That's like saying Blackpool Tower is the tallest structure in the world that's actually in Blackpool. :)

Been to the second highest point of Tokyo Sky Tree

Beautiful sight there especially at night

Too bad am terrified of heights

Next time I'll go up it during the day and hopefully see Mt Fuji :)

Great photo and I hope you’re enjoying the trip to that amazing city.
Was there just before Covid - planned on going up, but it was a wild and windy day and the viewing platforms were shut down. I spent the afternoon in the base building, which is, in itself, incredible. No-one does the ‘entire city in a building’ better than the Japanese.

Been up there!!. It was in the daytime though so didn't see it lit up, but still amazing to think I have been there and I have to say what a fantastic photo!
