Nope not a million fucking miles near good enough - Milner is everything he is and more

His work rate is poor from an attacking perspective he is pretty good but defensively he is shite

It's always really clear who doesn't watch any football outside of the Premier League and/or Man City games in Europe. Everyone who was not a fan of Fernandinho prior to his move and anyone who would compare Fernando to any number of players mentioned on here lately fall into this category. There are very few DMs in the league who are at Fernando's level. And none of them are English.

You could maybe make a case that Huddlestone or some other English player would make more sense given the FFP/UCL restrictions, but being at his level is an entirely different ballgame.
