This plebs arrest this morning got me thinking about freedom of speech in society so a quick google brought up that we are allowed to say or think whatever we choose as we are free to do so, but in 1998 a law was brought in that if something we have said or done while excercising our right to freedom of speech and it upsets somebody that we can be prosecuted for it. This lads a cretin but a mighty bollocking is surely required, why waste police time arresting the ****? And what the fuck is the point in saying we have freedom of speech when we quiet clearly do not.

Freedom of speech in its most basic form, just doesn't exist.

You can go around, as this lad did yesterday, threatening to drown people, knife others, rape others, threaten to break people's necks.

I mentioned last night that a drunken racist tweet about Muamba got a student sent down a few months back. This, imo, was far worse... he's only shown remorse when he thinks ther'll be consequences, and even breaks that remorse to go back and threaten to 'drown' Daley.

Perhaps he'll learn a decent lesson through all this.

Threatening to murder someone isn't free speech. When someone's 'free speech' means that someone else maybe shitting themselves in bed at night they lose that right IMO.

read some of the stuff on his twitter last night, he is clearly threatening tom daley and other individuals, whether this should be taken sersiously or not is debatable as he is clearly a nut job who has let the fantasy of movies or computer games become a reality. he also uses racist terminology so could be accused of using threatening and intimidating behaviour / harrasment and racism. no debate regarding freedom of speech just criminality in my opinion
