Tommy Muir RIP : Funeral details P15

I went on his coaches drank in his pub in the 90s had lockins with him sat underneath the big picture of him bell lee and summerbee all in tuxedos. He was someone i looked up to as a blue when i was very young and did so all the way through my life. No more suffering Tom but you’ll be missed so much
 
Never knew the man, but he was one of those faces you saw everywhere on away days, just a smile and a nod to a fellow Blue in random places.

Some great stories of his life on here, keep 'em coming boys and girls.

Played for Cheadle for sometime and like many went to City away with Tommy and the crowd from the pub. Cardiff away in 94 springs to mind. Mental away day that was.

Rest in peace Tommy….
 
A great man indeed. He will be remembered by many. We should all get a "do one" T shirt. For spurs. His life and dedication to supporting city should be celebrated v spurs.

Very well known within my family as my mum and his sister in law are best friends.

Was always round at our house when my mum and dad lived in Moston. One of the nicest blokes you could ever meet. Remember him as a kid, always smiling and laughing. Just an all round brilliant bloke.

Has been seriously ill recently and was moved into a hospice on Monday before passing away last night.

He was also the great uncle of current City U-18s player Ashton Muir.

Will be very sadly missed
 
Never met him but was well know to me, a dedicated blue through thin and thick

Those names take me back to the early 70s when they would be amongst the City top boys at that time.
Just need to add Dave Laryea and Les Cracknell to complete the full Langley crew.
Though I would think that they are all in their late 60s/early 70s by now.

Met him at 17 when he ran the kenny in cheadle hulme , played for the footy team there with him and then me and my pals followed him to the george and dragon (following a landlord from pub to pub seemed a thing back then).

The george was THE city pub back then. We all played for the football team and was our local for years , until tommy left and we stopped going in.

Fella at work was a good friend of his and told me about him today. Said same as you that there was no bigger blue.

Great post. Pete Rogers is my Dad who sadly passed away 7 years ago

Ran a great pub, didn't take any messing either. Went back to the George after Gillingham at Wembley and the party was in full swing. The scene of many a happy night (and day) out in my younger years, back when Cheadle used to be THE place to go to warm up for a night out on the town.

The George when Tommy had it is still, even above the Sherwood and the Bird in Hand, the City pub I miss the most.

My Dad knew Tommy from a long time back and when I told him he said ‘Good lad Tommy. Tough enough not to try to impress.’

I drank in the George a few times when he had it, top place to be a blue. RIP
