City new boy scores only goal in Romania

Mario Balotelli made an instant impact on his Manchester City debut by coming off the bench to secure a 1-0 victory over FC Timisoara in the Europa League play-off.

The Italian striker completed his protracted move to City from Inter Milan last week and was handed a place on the bench in Romania for the first-leg encounter.

And he was quick to repay manager Roberto Mancini's faith by grabbing the only goal of a tense tie inside the final 20 minutes.

City had been forced to play a patient game against a tenacious Timisoara and had earlier come closest to scoring when Balotelli's fellow summer arrival Yaya Toure struck the post.

Lol... They talk shite. They only put a negative spin on it because were a threat to whatever agenda they have.
