I haven't seen Ronaldo score a free kick in quite a bit now. I love his run up to the ball and the pace he gets on it, but every time I've watched him this season he's nailing it into the wall.

Ah well you have fallen for the myth that Ronaldo is a free kick specialist. Even at his time in the Premier League I think 1 in 20 free kicks actually hit the target let alone went in the net. The rest were either blasted over or straight at the wall. People just watch that great free kick he scored for United and assume he is some sort of god at free kicks.

no way near a specialist, in fact not many go in at all, but my god is it a weapon when it gets past the wall

And yet no one else is allowed to take them, that is what I don't like about Ronaldo despite all the quality. He has to take every free kick or penalty even if there is a better candidate. If he came to us, 100% record or not, Balotelli would never be allowed to take a penalty unless Ronaldo wasn't on the pitch. Bugs me.

Hope the Chelsea fans travelling are all OK & we don't hear of a load of stabbings like usual.

2 mates of mine are there and I'm getting texts about how scared shitless they are. Certainly an aggressive crowd. They also confirmed the incessant and shameless racism coming from the Napoli fans; and the police are doing nothing but form a sort of human wall.

I had problems when I went to our game there. The police will bus the away fans to & from the ground but will most likely drop people back off at the port after the match. Tell your mates to make sure they get a taxi from the port to where they are staying as if they try & walk back they will most likely get attacked like we did.

You've got to account for the artificial pitch and the obscene temperatures in Moscow tonight. CSKA also have a large number of their first team injured. Their goalkeeper is 3rd choice.
