Take they players out and they are wank. Schalke's the next big force in Germany, even then they will still end up 15+ behind Bayern. If we came up against with or without their stars we would spank them.
But those players have been out, nearly for the whole season, and they're still third in the Bundesliga. Would we be third in the Prem if we had Kompany, Nastasić, Zabaleta, Yaya, Fernandinho out for nearly the whole season so far?

You could argue that the Bundesliga doesn't have teams as strong as Liverpool, Rags (just kidding), Everton, Spurs. However I do stand by my point in saying that even a depleted Dortmund would blow the Rags away. A full strength Dortmund caused us all sorts of problems, it is probably one of the worst games City has played in the past 3-4 years.

I could tell you that other German teams would make you similar problems. It is the style of play - early pressing and good counter attacking - that is poison for ball possession teams. That was Bayern's big problem two years ago - and the reason why we e.g. bought a player like Martinez. It is still not a run through the league for Bayern - most matches Bayern players have to fight for.

Problem is that the pressing and counter attacking it is a weapon against other teams that are build up the same, too - what makes it difficult for Dortmund. The problem is that Dortmund is not immune against its own medicine. And Zenit made a big mistake today - they took the ball and did not let Dortmund have it... If you look at the passing quotes (not of the attackers as they take risks) of Dortmund - that is not really a top standard. And - they already had the same problems in the Bundesliga last year - it does not have only to do with the injuries or Götze and Gündogan. A little bit less and they often had luck - and this year some other teams got better.
