Hart, Boyata, Mee, Cunningham, Trippier, Ireland, Zaba, AJ, Vieira, Ade, Bellers

nice to see a few of the young lads like mee & trippier getting a start, sure those two in partcular are good enough, and will come through whoever we sign

well its in there own hands when given the oppotunity to show what they can do, they cant do anymore then that ..

Not sure that was worth staying up for. Not really sure what I was expecting tbh!
Er, a kickabout in the park with players from our 3rd-string lineup?

And the best terrace song ever?

our owners have always said that the acadamy is an important part of the future for city i think you can see that by trying to get the best of the young talent thats out there, but we all know that if you get one, two,or three from one age group then you have done well, and then any of the others who dont make it and can pick up fees for them, then thats goes to the help the running of the acadamy so hopefully self financing !

The first two goals were really odd. None of the City fans celebrated because no one realized that we scored. No one could see it! The Timbers have really good fans who remind me a bit of City back in the bad old days. Chanting "We always win 4-3" after they went down 3 nil and giving out ole's after being down 3 nil with no real chance to score just because. Was a good time overall. It was also fantastic being right down there with the players. They were about 8 feet away from us and we were sat pitch level.

Without going through every page, are there any comments on how players performed? Jo for example?

Just got back from the match. City used a good combination of experienced midfielders and forwards in the first half with younger defenders in the first half to get the 2-0 lead, and then brought on the first-team defense for the second half to close it out.

Bellamy looked the most lively, while Vieira was very composed in the holding role and Hart did well on one or two saves.

Fans were giving Jo some stick for an awful miss when he received the ball from Ibrahim on the edge of the box, jinked a couple of defenders, and planted it low inside the near post. Silenced a few critics there.

Got to speak with Garrido and MJ briefly after the match at a hospitality tent and both were optimistic about recovering from injuries.

Wondering about Ireland now: first, he was made captain, which felt like a testimonial type of move before he leaves, then, when we were speaking to players as they boarded the coach, he had no response when someone yelled, "Don't leave City Stevie". Think he may be on his way soon.

Jo did well, but his heart wasn't in it. He didn't hustle and really try. He benefited from the fact that the defense wasn't great and was very susceptible to someone who can dribble the ball.

Kompany and Lescott in the second half were rocks.

Micah...*sighs* ...well ..Micah was...Micah...

Wayne looked slow but was much better attacking then Cunningham.

AJ and Bellamy were awesome. These were the only two that were clearly into the match at all times.

Stevie...Well superman was a massive disapointment. He was even captain tonight. But all the same problems he had last season were evident again tonight. He scored but he didn't have to do anything but tap in really. This was the most disappointing thing of the night.

The Timbers actually were a threat to score coming at Nedum in the second half. He was really bad tonight.

The youngsters overall did well.

Oh and I forgot. Hart was fantastic. If someone didn't do what he was after down in the box he let them know about it. Was really great. And a lot of fun interacting with the Timbers fans during the match as well!
