Venus is bright and above the horizon early in the evening. Later Jupiter comes around from the east and is even brighter.

We had precious little of it here Eamo. 5 or 6 hours of very light snow; started around 7 last night, but I was up briefly at 1:30 and you could see stars in the sky at that time. So the cloud was obviously breaking. Lovely day here today; dry (but overcast until mid afternoon. Cold, mind; the reading on the car dash said 2° when I took that pic. Pretty much all gone off the roads at this stage, just in the fields and gardens now. I believe the southern half of the country were supposed to get it worse than us.
