Tony Griffiths RIP

To be honest Alex, I found myself re-evaulating my stance for this one case.

I'm thinking too. None existence response where I was, felt a bit daft clapping by myself despite telling a few others beforehand around me. Don't know what Tony's family felt about it who where there as guests of the club in honour of Tony.

It's unfortunate that the clapping didn't materialise but his service today certainly made up for it. I've never seen so many people at a funeral including ex City players.

Shows the measure of the man. RIP Tony.

Quite right Sid C. Paul Lake and Alex Williams didn't turn up just to show their faces. Lakey certainly got to know Tony well during their time together in Sierra Leone and time working together on that project before and after the visit. Alex Williams like many others at the club knew Tony through Tony's work with Sierra Leone and their joint friendship via the Reddish Supporters Branch.

The service today was a magnificent tribute to the man and more than made up for Saturday's non-event.
