And Alan Oakes is hardly ever mentioned when talking about 1968 etc. Similar players in many ways: reliable jonny on the spot guys, always where needed. Oakes' numbers for City and his whole career are remarkable.

Again Being of that age where I was able to see Oakes play and years later to see Barry play for us, god some of us are lucky buggers. Both great players who are probably held in higher regard with the players they played with than the majority of fans.
