Top 115 Female Music Artists Voting

Exactly. They have to be SINGERS not ARTISTS. Which means we might as well be asking about favo(u)rite female tambourine players.

Don't want to criticize here, but this is very narrow to me. I don't listen to some band just because I like the singer's voice -- ever. So I defined it narrowly and went with "artists", and only artists that have lead bands. No one who only sings, but also plays an instrument (save in the case of the hip-hop artist I included) and writes their own songs.
Some of us grew up with annual music polls where people voted for best male vocalist, best female vocalist, best guitarist. It’s not unusual.

I get it. It’s just the adulation of the individual genius stuff, like best guitarist is, not necessarily respective of the overall impact of the music, or the contribution of the other musicians. It can be, but not necessarily. I suspect there will be a lot of “amazing voice, terrible music” and “voice nothing special, great tunes” debates.

Hmmmm....just got up, Mornin' all.
Yesterday I just voted for my favourite top 10 female singers, I might have to rethink this.
