Top 4 Race 2020/21

If dippers win tomorrow it practically secures top 4 for them. Their other games are formalities at this stage of the season when they are already thinking of the close season.
 
I'm assuming we're all (perish the thought) supporting Trafford's finest tomorrow evening. A win won't significantly affect their season, but it could be a serious blow for the Mickeys' CL hopes.

If Liverpool win out they'll get top 4, tomorrow's game is going to be a blood bath I reckon.

Makes Chelsea's next 2 and a half weeks a right slog though, so you have to take it.

Depends, now there is the Chelsea angle to it, a Liverpool win might be better.
 
Cannot believe the way clubs seem to be falling over themselves to keep the redscouse in with a shout

Would not be unhappy to see the rags win tonight which I have never said before

I cannot bring myself to say it out loud, but........
 
realistically i want the scousers to beat the rags, so that chelsea have to go all out till the end of the season and are tired for the champs league final.

but have to say i will be equally happy for the MIB/zebra squad to invade Old Toilet and get the game called off, just for the shitstorm that SHOULD engulf the rags
i am aware that the FA would most likely sweep it under the carpet, but i live in hope
 
Disappointed Chelsea didn‘t win last night to effectively shut the European door on Liverpool. Now I’ll have to go against a lifetime‘s instincts and hope the rags beat them tonight.

No, sorry, that’s going too far. I mean not mind if the rags beat them.
 
If Liverpool win their remaining 4 games they finish on 69 points.

If Chelsea and Leicester both win their games when they don’t play each other then Chelsea have 67 and Leicester 69

So...

Chelsea beat Leicester:

Chelsea 70
Leicester 69

Draw:

Chelsea 68
Leicester 70

Chelsea lose to Leicester:

Chelsea 67
Leicester 72

So it’s actually in their hands meaning if they win all 4 then either Chelsea or Leicester miss out Presuming their GD passes Leicester if Chelsea beat Leicester (chances are it would with 4 wins)

I think the bottom line is if things go against them then Chelsea will now have to win both their last games following the Cup Final.

If Chelsea lose their last two games then in theory Liverpool West Ham Spurs and Everton could still finish in the top 4!

Yesterdays loss v Arsenal means Chelsea will have to go full strength in their last two league games in addition to the FA Cup. BUT whatever happens they will get 6 days rest Before the CL final.

Don't agree and I hope Liverpool win tonight, all means Chelsea have to go strong in last games small straws but anything helps.
 
Liverpool will finish in the top four if they beat United tonight IMO.

I won't be celebrating if United win but I hope they do.
 
I hope Liverpool win tonight because it means Chelsea are still in a battle for the top 4 and that pressure will take its toll. They've got a cup final this weekend and have had three tough games already with Real 2nd leg, us and then losing to Arsenal at home. They've got a blend of experienced winners and young players which should see them through the battle but it's still far from ideal.

They might win the cup but if Liverpool have won then their league game against Leicester becomes another vital game and it keeps building and building. Psychologically that 6 day break before the CL final, if they've come through that challenge might make them relax a little and lose them an edge for the final. Who knows. I'd rather be in our position where we can rotate to keep players fresh and focus fully on that one game.
 
A draw is best as it still keeps Chelsea busy looking over their shoulder but makes it less likely Liverpool make top 4. Plus neither win. It also takes top 4 out of Liverpool’s hands while it’s still possible.

If you hate Liverpool and think whatever happens Chelsea will still get 6 days rest and you really don't want Liverpool to have much chance at top 4 then go for United.

If you just want maximum pressure on Chelsea, even given the above, then go for Liverpool.

1. Draw
2. United
3. Liverpool
