Top 7 Remaing Fixtures Against Each Other: Home And Away

It will go to the wire

Only thing that concerns me is our defense .

Chelsea know how to grind out results so i think they are the main competition.

There is no guarantee that certain games will be harder. I remember people talking about how United had an easier run in during 11/12 season and yet it backfired on them as they lost to lowly Wigan. Teams fighting relegation can be just as difficult, especially when they are away. Would have been nice to have a cushion going into the second half of the season but we have proven that we can outplay anyone.

Our biggest problem won't be our away fixtures, per se. Our biggest problem is that it's very difficult to stuff a team, twice.
The fella who was routinely skinned five times at the Etihad will suddenly be the all action, not-on-my-watch full back, in the return game.
I've seen it happen umpteen times, in any number of sports.
If we're to win this league (and we will!), we'll need to grind it out on a lot of grounds, not just those cited in the (excellent) original post.
Some of those will fall away, inevitably. Also, places like Southampton, Selhurst Park and Hull will have an influence on where the trophy goes .

I really wouldn't worry too much about our defence. We may think we're shaky but the results don't lie. There's nothing in it between the teams near the top of the table, therefore if we have a defensive issue, so does everybody else.

At this stage of the season last year we had conceded 16 goals. The rags had conceded 28 goals, yet they still went on to win the league.

Our style is set up to play the big teams away and get results. It`s the lesser clubs we fail to impose on. Our "big" players (nearly) always love the big stage to show off their talents.
Half way with 41 points and the 9 home games left could give us 68 points. Then if the aways give us 4 wins and a few draws that could be enough to win this league. Our away results could stop the others in their tracks.

Why do we have to stuff them?

Its the teams fighting relegation that pose problems.Second half of the season every game is a cup final for them. We have to follow that line and play with the same intensity.

And that`s why in the run in I`d rather play them at the Etihad, whilst the aways are at the title rivals where the pressure is just as much on them to win.
