Top man - well done Milner...

Quality player as he is IMO he didn't perform on Saturday and IMO Bobby Manc got it wrong.

SWP should have stayed on and Milner replaced by Silva

Also Vieira and Yaya doesn't work as they are too alike.

I also thought he had a bad game should ov gone off instead ov johnson. He look tired and his final ball was terrible but Milner is a good player. Give him his due he gets about the pitch an awful lot more than anyone else from defence to attack will be a great signing. Give him a little rest and play him Sunday at Wigan :)

apart from the fact that I thought he had another good game - getting better as the match progressesd - I was well pleased when, in the second half after yet another Blackburn player had gone down for nothing, and we got the drop ball, he kicked it out so blackburn could defend a deep throw in, similar to what Diouf had done to us in the first half. then he gave 'em some shit back when they started having a go at him for not kicking it back to their keeper.

Totally agree, nothing in the rules that say you cant do that, which milner quite rightly pointed out!

I know a few things didn't come off for him, but you should try these blue tinted specs I've got.....
Anyway, still thought he improved as the game went on.
I was very uncertain about him before he signed but overall I'm pleased with him to date, and he's going to get better and better

I thought he was terrible the other day, every pass was overhit about 10x harder than it should have been and he just kept on losin posession. So far I think he's been average at best and he's done nothing to change my mind. I thought he was an average player worth about £8m and so far he's shown thats the case!

Yeah, this approach pleased me no end. Diouf is a shitehawk with no peer, and it's nice to know that we have players who will not let that kind of 'sportsmanship' go unnoticed.

However, I thought he had an indifferent game. Too many passes went into vacant space.

Didn't have his best game for us, but don't forget this was only his third match for us. He joined us after the season started and has been away with England for a week. I love his attitude on the pitch and have no doubt that he will be a quality player for us.

Opta stat for all those that think he had a bad game

James Milner yesterday became the first player to create 8 goalscoring chances in a single PL game this season.
