Top ten most overated players

Don't want to get in a slanging match, but in 40 years of watching football, I can say there have been 5 players (attacking English players) who are/were on a different planet. Gerrard is a superb player,
only shame is, he is owned by dippers mafia. However the following make Gerrard look ordinairy.

Bell, Charlton (R), Scholes, Gascoigne and Rooney. This United team are superb, nothing flashy about them, in fact it is hard to dislike them this season to be truthful. They have overcome injuries, played mid-fielders as defenders, and made Rooney look like he has carried the team on his own. You can keep your Messi's, Ronalda's and Kaka's. If there was one player to buy and completely bust the bank for. It would be Rooney.

Anyone who says this lad at 24 is over rated knows nothing about football. Agreed also Valencia has made the step up in class. Thought to be truthful he would disappear without a trace there.
 
I don't even think Steven Gerrard is better than Frank Lampard let alone Paul Scholes and Zidane. Gerrard over the past 10 years or so has been on the whole an excellent player however during the past 18 months or so which is a long time in a football career he's been pretty much average. Zidane was outstanding, his use of the ball and passing was on a different level to the passing and use of the ball of Gerrard

Gerrards been an excellent midfielder during his career whereas Zidane for me was the best midfielder around when he was playing
