More than likely, he'd barely be match fit by then.

I'd steer clear of bidding for him too, he seems too much like RSC where injuries are concerned.

To be fair to Torres he's pretty much the only striker they have and one of only 3-4 top class players in the side. They've been playing him when they should have rested him/sent him for an op because they HAD to.

In our team he would have been given the time to recover fully with the backup we have with Ade/RSC/Bellamy/Tevez.

I can see Torres being really fucked off with Liverpool at the moment, He will know that he shouldnt be playing as much as he is, with it being a world cup year he will not want to risk missing out so he may well end up resenting the scousers for keep playing him!

I think we should put a bid in even though it will get turned down, its bound to unsettle Liverpool and maybe Torres even more!

Torres has found himself in a similar to situation at Liverpool to the one he was at in Madrid. A club saddled with lots of debt, he's the biggest asset and there are constant stories of him being sold, the club is struggling on the field, Torres has to shoulder too much responsibility as he is the only decent forward they have...

As much as he loves the club and the City, I imagine he will be beginning to have doubts about what direction the club is taking...
