that pitch would be tagged as "superb" back in the day. Derby County's pitch was a mud heap, even if it had not rained for a month. OT was a grave-yard for grass, the only pitch that was excellent throughout the seasons was Portman Rd, Maine road was one of the better ones imho, Oldham's plastic pitch produced some very exciting games, although the sand was pretty abrasive on knees. Can't see our band of highly gifted artists struggling, although red cards for mis-timed tackles could be a factor. Eleven versus eleven and we will be ok.
