Tottenham Pre Match Thread

Whilst I agree to a degree, the negativity about some players is getting utterly boring. We're not in the 90s. The PL is geared for teams to carry players having an off day. It is a team game. Perhaps one player looks sluggish because they have instructions that haven't been carried out to them. We're too gung ho as fans.

They tanked us at WHL. Time to bounced back and extract some vengeance. Playing with heart and spirit is needed. That and organisation.
everything we didn't see against Leicester.

As we all know MP pays no attention to detail when it comes to the opposition. Yesterday we played with plenty of midfield bodies despite the fact that Leicester bypass the midfield so often by hoofing it up to Vardy. Playing with another striker may well have given Leicester more to think about and Fernando in front of the back four may have helped, leaving Delph, especially as he played wide left, and Yaya out. Tottenham are a more sophisticated team and we will not be handed possession as we were yesterday. In fact you could make a case for yesterday's side being more suited to next weekend's game. But how will Manuel see it?

T beat Spurs, I reckon we're gonna need to score at least 3. Can't see how they won't put at least a couple past us and that shambles of a defence. If Silva is out like was mentioned yesterday, id have Sterling, Toure and Barker/Celina behind Aguero. If Toure is part of a midfield 2, we will get ripped apart. If only we hadn't let Roberts go out on loan, he'd be playing every week atm.

Hope i'm wrong, but I really worry for us in the next few weeks with the current squad we have available. Spurs, Chelsea, Kiev, Liverpool in the final, Liverpool away. Can't see a win anywhere in there if we play like we did yesterday

I think we should play exactly the same when we have the ball ,when we lose it,Usain Bolt speed towards Hart until the
Possession is back,100% of the players 100% of the time we play until the end of the season........

One thing is sure Pochettino already is thinking about this game, who he gonna play, what system, what defence, what midfield, what will be certain players exact role in the game etc.

Does Pelle do the same or we just will have a week of training like always that play a high line with a midfield two with no pressing, serious workrate, track back and lot of ideas how to break them down?

If i'm Pellers I wouldn't even look at the overall team attacking this week. I'd have a weeks training focused on the midfielders getting back and protecting the back four. I'd have them play a match against the EDS 8 vs 11 with Sterling, Aguero and Iheanacho on the EDS team because that's how its going to feel against Spurs, outnumbered, less energy, against good attacking players.

Yeah I cannot see much from that game, and we'll probably end up losing... We have been in a slump for 4 months now it feels. No momentum and no hunger for results...

Tottenham will be a totally different animal. I have zero faith in us ATM

I hope Kompany is back. I really do
