Tottenham v Chelsea (MERGED)

If spuds hold on and win it is still in our hands I guess but we must beat Arse and Villa I think before we get to spuds

Disaster, we slip from fourth to fifth. The sky is falling! It's official people! ;-)

The last few weekends have belonged to us, this week belong to Spurs, there were always going to be twists. Spurs back in the driving seat though. They still have to play the rags (who are right back in the title race) and we are playing Arsenal who are out of the title race.

It's still in our hands, if you offered me that at the start of the season I would have taken it in a second.

Won't complain if Chelsea pull there fingers out second half though.

its funny how half the people on this board tell us not to panic, surely its panic time now?

nah, no need to panic mate. even if spurs do win today and go two points clear, we still have to play them at our place. plenty more twists and turns yet so fasten your seatbelt. it wouldnt be city if we did it easy.

for those who arent watching the game here is a good link...

This could mean we're heading for the biggest fucking game on the planet when we play them....imo that will decide 4th spot.

Shouldnt be relying on other teams to bale us out,got to admire Spurs if they hold on for the win today.

Two sayings spring to mind regarding today's performances so far:

"When the going gets tough, the tough get going."

& "Fortune favours the brave."

Neither of which could be applied to City's performance in my view. Far too cagey.

well mate tbh we could not even get anything from the arsenal game next week, and looking at the way spuds are playing i wouldnt bet against them vs the rags as well, not looking good at all for us

been saying all day spurs would beat chelsea good bet at 5/2, chelsea were crap against bolton can see them getting something against the scum next week as well, wasnt that impressed with them today even though they won. think we have blown 4th, the turning point was spurs beating arsenal midweek we needed them to drop points.

Spurs started well, but they spent most of the half sitting back hoping Chelsea wouldn't score.

But a goal or two makes a lot of difference to how people perceive mentality.
