He's been great all the way through. Never shirked his responsibilities and showed great heart. Thoroughly deserved the win.

Well done Cavendish as well

How many wins has Cav got now? Must be pushing the 20 mark if he stays fit there will be more Green jerseys and more wins to his name. I heard rumours of him moving to the Sky team but they will need to get his lead out man as well to see his full potential. Top marks to Cadel he deserved to win the yellow jersey.

Yep 20 exactly according to Eurosport today, 6th on the all time list.

Bring on the Vuelta.

What a tour... brilliant all the way through... Chapeau Cadel - when he had that mechanical on Thursday i thought he was done - he earnt it all the work he did that day

20 for Cav is just amazing considering his age - the great Eddie Merckx must be thinking his total of stage wins is under threat, great to see him in green and if he goes to Sky he needs at least Renshaw and could do with big Bernie Eisel his super domestic as well, can Sky adapt their thinking and tactics for him?

Cant wait for the Vuelta - will be interesting to see if Wiggo has a go at it, although it is very close to the world championships - might be a good guide to see how do-able the Tour and Olympics will be next year for him...

Excellent tour.....

Well done Cav.... Sports personality of the year maybe??

Con grates to Cadel Evans... Best man won although I wanted andy schelck...

Already looking forward to next year... Enjoyed itv4 coverage

Absolutely loved the Tour this year. Versus did a wonderful job with commentary. The HTC guys were magnificent for Cav and it was cycling at its very best when they delivered him to the finish line today. Congrats to Cadel Evans what a champion he turned out to be. Fully deserved. Me and the wife are planning to go next year. Might take me "6 gear raleigh" and sneak in, you never know.!!!!

Anyone know if ITV4 has any other cycling coverage on other than the Tour? Love to see the Vuelta but I guess it's only on Eurosport. But what a brilliant TdF this year. I thought last year's was good but then this one came along. Very impressed with the Norwegian turnout. Wouldn't it be brilliant to see a big enclave of Brits on the Alpe Duez or somewhere similar to Dutch corner? We're turning into one of the best cycling countries with the advent of team Sky and with excellent young riders like Swift and Thomas pulling the strings for Wiggo and Cav (he's going to Sky) I can see them being the main team in next year's Tour and the majority of them are British!

Chapeau Cadel. A great day for Australian sport. (God knows we don;t have too many of them anymore...)

Lol. Well done Cadel I thought he deserved to win just for the Tourmalet fight back but having said that you couldn't grumble if Schleck had won for the way he went for it up the Tourmalet. What a top Tour. I'm genuinely gutted it's over now as there's nowt to look forward to now on the telly.

ps. Have you got a link to Cadel's ceremony and the national anthem? We only got a brief glimpse and no national anthem which I thought was poor. I love watching the anthems as for me that's what it's all about, the feeling of pride must be immense.

Cracking day for Bradley at the Vuelta! He could be about to have a grand tour to his name.

Anyone going watching any of the Tour Of Britain ? I'm hoping to get to see some of the Blackpool and Stoke stages.
