yeah i spoke to him tonight at the match.
was going to post but most of it is common knowledge now. He will have his medical tommorrow and if all well will sign a 90k week contract.
He also mentioned that the deal was done on monday when Ashley spoke to him? Ashley went to the negotiations to persuade him to stay apparently and Given was adament he needed a new challenge. After that they agreed they would accept City's bid but wouldnt do so until after the game so that he wasnt able to play for us or paraded or officially announced as a City player when the Geordies were playing us!!
basically i dont think that the Barcodes trust us not to play him even with a 'Gentlemans Agreement!'.

Toure would be a quality acquisition and just what we need in defence. I just hope that Onouha isn’t the one to be sold to make way for him as I think he can play a big part in where we are heading, as mentioned in another thread on him.
