Don't get me wrong Toure would be a great signing in his own right, but if his arrival encourages Yaya to come, what a bonus that would be. Yaya Toure is without doubt the best holding midfielder in world football! Only concern would be if we were to get Eto'o as well, that's a few players away in January. Still, what a problem to have!
 
dont want him.. hes going to africa in jan... crazy to even touch him.. arsene wouldnt let him go if the african nations wasnt happening,, well, he'd try harder to keep him..we are mugs if we sign him, sooner keep dunne, least he stays fit and will be around for most games suspensions apart!!
 
if reports of dunnie going to sunderland are to believed, then we will defo be seeing another couple of centre backs imo. id really like toure to be one of these, along with lescott.
 
IMO that hangeland fella would be a better option 4 us than toure! he knows the prem and would probably cost less, cant believe we havent been linked to him in the papers etc, he ticks all the boxes we need, especially as dunne looks like he may be off, which is a shame but at his age and bein the skipper, you cant blame him, he probaby knows he's squad player at most next season. My first post by the way, i've browsed this forum for months and months an finally decided 2 put my 2 pennies worth in! I have 2 say this forum is the most entertaining thing i've ever seen.
 
Since Jan when our interest in Toure was first brought to our attention have paid more attention to him and haven't been overly impressed but hard to tell whether that was down to him or his team mates. Would rather secure Lescott if we could only have one or the other.

What is all this continuing sh*te about the African Nations??

IF we're smart and keep Neds(or Neds doesn't want to leave) we HAVE a quality replacement! That's what's nice about having a SQUAD, since it's a SQUAD GAME! Fook me, it's as if people have forgotten that Neds was our second(only just) best player, last season(you know, the one that's only just finished a few weeks back!)!

he's already gone as far as I'm concerned

IF we got Yaya and a CB or 2 we may well see Kompany or De Jong moving on if they want first team football
 
I'm not sure how good Toure is, i've never realy paid much attention to him tbh, i don't even know if he's quick or not which is quite bad

Toure is quick, he puts his head in where he could get hurt (ala Terry), goes in wholeheartedly and has a rocket of a left and right foot with free kicks. Would add some mental toughness to our leaky defence
