Not especially authoritative, I know, but if it were well known that he had been refused permission to play, perhaps they'd have taken him out of the list.

I thought he was playing very well in the early part of the season when he was next to dunne but then went way off form until yesturday,Thought him and Kompany both had very good games yesturday and looked like a good partnership.

He was better yesterday but Given still saved his skin in the first half. The chance came from a simple long ball over the top and Tuncay left him trailing yards behind.

There is a big room for improvement when he returns, that's if he gets his place back.
