Felt like i had it bad while watching us play today , especially in the first half . I kept shouting ''..Press the fuckin' ball..'' over and over everytime Liverpool were in possession (that's what it felt like anyway). We just weren't closing them down , and allowed them to play infront of us . It felt like we were waiting for them to hurt us .
It wasn't until we went a goal down , that we seemed to realise that we had to push on and raise the tempo abit .
I felt like we missed a trick today . That Liverpool side was probably the poorest we've played against at Anfield for many a year . Today's City team was probably the strongest that has played at Anfield for years . When we started to finally play , and knock it around putting pressure on Liverpool in the 2nd half we looked like we could get back in the game . When we went 2-1 up i thought the points were ours . Alas , not to be . I just wish we started to play our football in the first half instead of during the 2nd half . It would probably have been a far different outcome at the final whistle .
